Shaun Wade to announce decision live on Lettermen Row
One of the biggest storylines out of the young offseason will come to a close Saturday when Shaun Wade announces his decision regarding his future.
The Buckeyes do-it-all defensive back has become a versatile weapon in coverage and in blitz packages, providing Ohio State’s coaching staff flexibility in the secondary. Ohio State is already losing Damon Arnette and Jordan Fuller to graduation and Jeff Okudah to the draft, so the decision by Wade could transform the talk about the Silver Bullets heading into next season. He’s that important.
Wade will make his decision live on LettermenRow.com, and Austin Ward and Spencer Holbrook will both be down in Jacksonville with the Wade family for the announcement. The broadcast is set to begin at noon.

Chase Young declares for NFL Draft
The most obvious news in the Ohio State football world became official Friday: Chase Young has declared for the 2020 NFL Draft.
The dominant junior defensive end will go down as one of the best defensive players at Ohio State history, and he did everything in just three seasons. Young was the winner of the Bednarik Award, the Chicago Tribune Silver Football and Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year. He was a finalist for the 2019 Heisman Trophy and broke the Ohio State single-season record for sacks, totaling 16.5 despite playing in just 12 of the Buckeyes 14 games.
Now, he’s off to the NFL, where he will likely go to Cincinnati or Washington, who hold the first and second picks, respectively. How does Young’s departure impact the Buckeyes? Who can be counted on to replace him? What does Larry Johnson have up his sleeve for next season’s Rushmen? It’s all broken down here.
New Lettermen Live presented by Roosters
In this week’s episode of Lettermen Live, former Buckeyes Beanie Wells and Anthony Schlegel joined Austin Ward and Birm to break down Ohio State’s Fiesta Bowl loss to Clemson. Find out what the guys thought about the officiation, dealing with tough losses and the future of the Buckeyes football program.
Ohio State basketball loses second straight
Ohio State has had tremendous success early this season, including huge wins over Villanova, North Carolina and Kentucky.
But the Buckeyes have shown they aren’t prone to bad games, and Friday night was another example of that. Chris Holtmann’s team dropped its second straight game, this time losing at home, 61-57, to Wisconsin. The Buckeyes went long stretches without an offensive pulse and couldn’t keep the Badgers down in the final minutes.
Last weekend, the Buckeyes lost to West Virginia. The game against Wisconsin was a chance to get back on the winning side of the Big Ten before hitting the road for two tough conference matchups. Now, the Buckeyes will need those wins on the road to avoid a 1-4 start to conference play.
Birm was on site with the details from the loss.
