Silverman: Buckeyes blackout should scare Michigan State

COLUMBUS — The latest Ohio State game poster from our Creative Director Sam Silverman is here, as the Buckeyes prepare for their first home night game of the season, a test against Michigan State.

This week’s game poster showcases Ohio State’s alternate black uniforms first debuted in 2015 and worn for home games in recent years. The “black out” in Ohio Stadium can be scary, especially in a primetime night game.

As the Buckeyes wear their alternate black jerseys for the matchup with the Spartans and Lettermen Row continues to supply premium content covering all aspects of the program, we hope Silverman’s poster will remain a key part of the game-week experience for readers and fans everywhere.

Enjoy!

I don’t understand the obsession with uniform colors. Just me.

These are great, thanks for making them. Consider generating these graphics formatted for Facebook cover pages and Instagram!

Not a yuge fan of the black unis, but I’ve accept it. I wish they would’ve saved it for the State Penn game, though.

I can almost hear AC/DC’s “Back in Black” playing in the stadium. 😉

For me, this kind of extraneous strutting (fashion styles) is off-putting. It may suit the Oregon pansies, but not the football-focused Buckeyes. They don’t need it.

Love the design. A higher resolution and DPI would be great – looks a little bit artifact-y especially with the all black. Still going to use it as my background though!

Blackout scare us? Sparty? Baaaaaaahahahahahahahahaha!!! If we’re not afraid of the big, bad wolverine, what makes you think we’re afraid of nuts like buckeyes?

Darrel, get ready to witness the best team in College Football. And get ready to get your ass kicked.

Sparty, Noooo!

The big bad wolverine? Lol. That’s like saying you’re not afraid of clowns and citing Bozo The Clown. Ohio State is more Pennywise. Prepare to float.
