After Ohio State claimed its second-straight Big Ten title Saturday, the Buckeyes patiently waited for their post-season fate and if they would be selected to the College Football Playoff for the first time since 2016. However, just like the conference championship, the Scarlet and Gray were also left out of the Top 4 in back-to-back seasons.
With that said, Ohio State earned a trip to the Rose Bowl for the first time since 2010 and will take on the Pac-12-champion Washington. And Sunday, the Buckeyes opened as 3-point favorites over the Huskies, according to 5Dimes.
The trip to Pasadena, California will be the first for Urban Meyer in his coaching career, and a victory would give him five New Year’s Six bowl wins since coming to Columbus in 2012.
