COLUMBUS — Ohio State hosted its third one-day recruiting camp of the month Saturday at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center, where more than 900 prospects endured the heat to show their skills to the Buckeyes’ staff and players.
The camps precede the all-important Friday Night Lights camp held in the Horseshoe Friday June 22, and many of the student-athletes who have participated in these camps will be on display at FNL.
One of the highlights from Saturday’s camp was 2021 prospect Jahzion Harris, who is trying to follow the footsteps of Buckeyes Curtis Samuel, Jahsen Wint and Matthew Jones and become the next player from Erasmus Hall (Brooklyn, NY) High School to come to Columbus.
Also, Canton (Ohio) native Darvon Hubbard was on Ohio State’s campus for the first time Friday Night Lights last July and the now Scottsdale (Ariz.) resident flashed talent indicative of the top 2020 prospect that he is.
