Jack Miller talks Ohio State future, Mike Yurcich rumors, health concerns

Ohio State football recruiting can be a wild ride full of twists and turns as recruits from all over the country maneuver their way to signing day. Lettermen Row is here to help navigate the tumultuous roads by getting to the heart of the matter with the young football players themselves. Birminology shows who the young men being recruited by Ohio State truly are — by talking to them. Today’s episode is with Ohio State 2020 signee Jack Miller, who committed to the Buckeyes in the summer of 2018.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Try as he might, the spotlight is going to find Jack Miller.

A longtime Ohio State commitment out of Scottdale’s Chaparral High School, Miller worked to avoid the limelight since he committed to the Buckeyes in July of 2018. But the 6-foot-4, 218-pound quarterback has remained a regular subject of conversation in recruiting circles as the debate over his potential, his injury history and his upcoming battle with fellow signee C.J. Stroud captivate Ohio State fans and analysts alike.

“Jack is somebody that has been committed all along,” Ohio State coach Ryan Day said. “He was loyal from the get-go. I watched him throw when he was 16 years old, and I saw something in him, and he never wavered, either. And I think he’s got a chance to be a really good player.”

Just about ten days before Miller and his fellow early-enrollees arrive in Columbus, the young quarterback sat down with Lettermen Row to talk about his preparations for college, his difficult year, the recruitment of Stroud and the possibility that Mike Yurcich, his lead recruiter for the Buckeyes, could take a job elsewhere.

Hear Jack Miller weigh in on those topics and more — including his interaction with a special guest — on the latest episode of Birminology on Lettermen Row. Check it out in the video below.

The smile on Miller’s face was more of “What the heck am I getting myself into”, rather then “Golly gee. He seems like such a nice guy” At least that’s what I would’ve been thinking. Cooper is one huge dude.
