Chris Holtmann and the Ohio State men’s basketball team are taking advantage of the last few weeks before classes resume on campus.
Beginning Wednesday, the Buckeyes will say “hola” to the country of Spain for 10 days. Heading into his second season leading the program, Holtmann’s squad departs for Madrid and will arrive on Thursday morning, travel to Valencia on Sunday and then cap off the trip with three days in Barcelona before returning to Columbus on Aug. 11.
The Buckeyes are scheduled to play one game in each city, where they will take on the Madrid Generals Aug. 4, the Valencia All Stars Aug. 7 and the Catalan All Stars Aug. 9.
Holtmann recently spoke to the media about the trip and his expectations for it, as well as an overall recruiting update and outlook.
