Ohio State coach Chris Holtmann and select Buckeyes players held a press conference with reporters after their win over Minnesota in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament.
Ohio State is the No. 5 seed in the Big Ten Tournament this week and will now move onto face No. 4-seed Purdue in the quarterfinal on Friday at about 2 p.m.
The Buckeyes dropped both games against the Boilermakers this season. Ohio State fell, 67-60, at Mackey Arena in December, and Purdue won 67-65 in late January at the Schottenstein Center.
“It’s always something you’re aware of,” Holtmann said of playing Purdue in the next round. “They’re the only team to sweep us this year. It was a couple close games, particularly the one at our place with their freshman [Jaden] Ivey made a great play. It’s going to be a physical game, as it always is. Trevion [Williams] is a tremendous, tremendous player as is the big fella. Should be a great challenge for us here tomorrow.”
